What is a Petard?
A petard is 1) a fart, or 2) an air powered launching device (this is the definition that applies to this site.)
Mainly, Petard is short for Penuton's Petard, and the design schematics can be found in
Backyard Ballistics.
Ok, I built one. Now What do I do?
First, If you are filling it with air, STOP! Let all air out and
fill the petard with water, tilting now and then until no air comes out
the barrel. NOW turn the valve closed and pressurize to at least 2
times the amount you plan on launching it at.(Note: this is a safety
test! Do not pressurize your petard to above launching pressure without
water! Bodily injury may occur to you or others!) To view photos of a
